5 out of 5 stars Better than expected   September 6, 2008
I was somewhat skeptical about buying this item after reading some of the more negative reviews, but I ended up taking a gamble. Boy, am I glad I did. At 6'1 and 225 lbs, this bar holds my weight just fine. The entire bar took about 5 minutes to assemble and about 10 seconds to put up in a doorway.

After reading about how some folks had the bar fall down on them, I'd probably recommend giving it a couple of test tugs and visually inspecing the seat on the opposite side of the door.

Well worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Great Pullup Bar   September 2, 2008
This is a great bar for people who do not want to drill holes into their door frame.

2 out of 5 stars Missing parts, looked used   August 26, 2008
Just received my order after paying next day shipping and it was missing the wooden strip required for assembly. Not only that, it looked like it had been used. There was rust on the ends of the metal bar and part of the rubber handles had already been torn. Amazon said they're sending me another one today and I should have it tomorrow. We'll see what that one comes with. I don't expect it to be anything spectacular, but I would expect it to at least be new and come with all the parts! At least they're sending me a return shipping label for free.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome pull up bar   August 26, 2008
The pull up bar is very versatile. It can be put up and taken down in a matter of seconds so it can be moved from doorway to doorway. I use it in my bedroom and then my son can take it to his room and use it. When we need to shut the doors, it can be taken down. It is very sturdy. It makes doing pull ups so available.

5 out of 5 stars they are the right screws   August 26, 2008

like what people mentioned time and time again, these screws need the tools to get them in, it's suppose to be that way, so they stay tight and don't come out loose.

i had mine for about a year now, and the screws are still very tight.

they work like the suppose to, but they ended up damaging my door anyways. (really cheap wood frame, they gradually got huge dents on where the bars were supporting my weight)

however, they are great for your lats
