Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars MacOS? Issues. Wireless-G? Loses Connection   October 7, 2008
I purchased this router to replace a tried-and-true Linksys WRT54G. This new router immediately had issues with a MacBook Pro (802.11n) and, over the next 3-4 weeks, five Dell and Lenovo ThinkPads with a wide variety of wireless-G cards.

Oh, and you want technical support? That will cost you $75.

Stay away.

4 out of 5 stars Solid Router   October 4, 2008
This router replaced a Linksys WRT54GX2 that's less than 2 years old.
Set up was a breeze and has not dropped off once yet. I got it for $[...]
minus a $[...] mail-in rebate at Fry's. I'm glad I purchased this model. Highly recommended.

2 out of 5 stars Had to replace after five weeks   October 2, 2008
I bought this product with my new Dell laptop in Aug 08. It worked well for the first five weeks, then lost the ability to communicate with the modem. After extensive troubleshooting with NetGear, I'm having to ship to them for replacement within the one-year warranty. Am hopeful the new one holds up perfectly.

4 out of 5 stars Fine So Far!   September 23, 2008
After about a month of use everything appears to be working great. The only reason I gave the product a 4 instead of a 5 is the time in which I have had it in service. I had purchased a previous model that was refurbished and it last a year. I liked it so much I decided to try the newer model. The WNR2000 was much easier to set up than the original unit from Netgear. I would say from start to finish it took 20 minutes to install software and make some setting. The unit actually collected most of the data about my network without any interaction. Very smart unit. For the money, speed, and functionality I really don't think the Netgear WNR2000 can be beat. I am very satisfied with the operation so far and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 stars Much Improved   September 19, 2008
I owned an earlier Netgear. It was technically challenging to install and had poor customer support. This one has smart software which made installation a snap. It appears to have good customer support, however, I did not require any help.
