This Sony TCM-929 Desktop Cassette Recorder is a modern, detailed and feature-rich cassette recorder for the home or office.  portable cassette player October 3, 2008
I wanted something easy to operate, portable and reliable. I still have a lot of cassette tapes I like to listen to. I know the quality is not as good as a CD but I still have them! This sony player is perfect, fits the bill. I recommend it.
Cassette Player/Recorder August 19, 2008
This a great little player/ recorder. Good sound. I have a bunch of older tapes I wanted to hear and this is just the ticket. One thing, I wish they would have made the buttons EASIER to see and read...The buttons all look the same.., so be careful. I accidently hit both play and record buttons at the same time and erased a portion of a tape.

Basic recorder/player that works July 12, 2008
Since getting rid of my rarely used tape deck I needed to have something that I could use to occasionally play cassette tapes. This fits the bill perfectly.

It is my recollection that I already submitted a review. I gave it 4 stars. One of the questions I was asked was if I had received the recorder during the period specified by Amazon. It came a few days later than the one established. It is a minor quibble and I am otherwise satisfied with the product.

This product does the job.;however, there are no bells and whistles. I have used this recorder in many ways. I bring it to the kitchen and listen to recorded books while I wash dishes; I practice singing new songs for the choir using the built-in mike;I take with me to play music for my grandsons at bedtime,etc. It's VERY light-weight and simple to use and has an AC DC mode. In short, it's low tech, but practical. Buy it;you'll find many uses for it, and the price is right!
