The Kaplan Writing & Vocabulary Essential Review presents grammar rules and writing instruction with an appealing, easy-to-use interface. The software includes practice tests to help students track progress and identify areas for further study, as well as brainstorming, outlining, glossary, and bibliography programs that will improve homework assignments and papers. Students will also benefit from tutorials and quizzes for each chapter, test-taking tips and strategies, context-sensitive help, and word-search and crossword puzzles that reinforce content.Students can begin the program however they like. Some prefer to read the table of contents, choose a chapter, and begin their learning through reading and practice tests. Others may choose to explore various portions of the program, such as the tutorials, Tips and Strategies section, or the glossary. Students can also begin by taking a 25-question diagnostic test to determine mastery level. Upon completion of the test, Kaplan Essential Review provides a report of correct and incorrect answers. For each incorrect response, the program offers the correct answer and explains why it is correct. From that point, students can decide how they would like to direct their learning: They can explore a subject in which they need improvement, study the tutorials provided, work on crossword puzzles covering the content, read through the glossary, or take practice tests. They can then retake the diagnostic test to compare results.

 Software that really helps your writing, grammar, and vocabulary April 3, 2007
If you are expecting a video game with bells and whistles, this is not the software for you. If you wish to improve your English vocabulary, grammar and writing, this software does a fabulous job. This software has very good examples, has numerous quizzes and every chapter has a very useful summary. Furthermore, the information is very concise and useful. I highly recommend it.

I'm terrible with my grammar, I was hoping this would help me improve it, however, I was dissapointed. First of all I had trouble using the software with windows XP, turns-out I needed to run it using Windows98/XP setting in order for it to work.The software itself lacks visual aids. There are no pictures or videos, only texts. The music and sound effects are annoying, but you can turn it off. The software has a section called "now it's your turn," in which they ask you a bunch of questions, but provide no answers, to confirm your own. To sum it all up, it's basically a poorly writen E-Book, your better off buying a book on grammar.

hi!!!!!!!! How r u? This book is very nice. It also includes our learning and writing concepts. It gives our basic and physical power to appear the sat and psat exams. It is the good sense of humour and sense of studing.
