Scansnap S300M Delivers July 3, 2008 This scanner and software work perfectly with my Macbook Pro. It runs great on Leopard. I especially like the ability to define separate scanning profiles and select them in the dock. I have several profiles that send scans to various apps and it works perfectly. I am using this with Mail, ReceiptWallet, Yep, and other apps as well.
Speaking for the scanner itself I am amazed at how fast it is scanning both sides of a page. The feed mechanism works well. Sometimes a skinny receipt will feed in skewed but the software corrects for that so it's not a problem.
The only thing I didn't like, which is probably a limitation of USB more than a design flaw, is that it requires two USB ports if you don't use the AC adapter. If you want to be truly portable, you'll use one USB port for power, and one for data. That's a pain to carry two cables but at least it makes portable scanning possible so it's a small complaint.
Overall, I love this thing and have recommended it to many friends...
Works perfectly July 1, 2008 Received scanner, hooked it up and it work perfectly. Now, I scan in all my documents, bills, notes, anything that I should remember but never do. I date and name all documents and after a couple of years, i will simply delete the scanned documents when I determine that they are no longer needed.
Unbelievable scanner! June 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tiny. Fast. Push one button. (Although there's also a very nifty Quick Menu that let's you rename, file in a specific location, send to iPhoto, print, email, etc.)
It's unbelievably small and light and unbelievably fast.
I'm an artist/designer/educator and I'm always clipping images and arcane bits of text. I sent odd size pieces of flimsy paper from the New York Times magazine without a hitch.
I love this product. It's one of the best purchases I ever made.
Excellent Scanner June 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This scanner works great. Very easy to use and well engineered. Jams, although rare, are easily fixed with ingenious design. No regrets with this purchase.

This is a very well designed and built scanner. Works great with Mac just make sure you order the 300m for mac and it is something you will never know how you lived without. I scan all my business cards and all my bills and anything i want to keep without clutter.
Pro's: Very fast. Even straightens miss feeds automatically. Small footprint for your office or desk. Sets up in a snap (pun intended)
Con's: Nothing yet
